TPP PCV cell measuring tube

The PCV cell measuring tube allows a quick and reproducible measurement of the cell mass. The method is ideal for monitoring cell growth (cell mass). If many parameters are optimized in a production process, many samples are incurred at the same time. Here the rapid evaluation with the PCV cell measuring tube and the simple reading process with "Easy Read" is the method of choice. A short centrifuging (1 minute at 2,500 g) is enough to pellet the cells into the calibrated capillary. There, the volume of the cell pellet with the "Easy Read" measuring instrument can be read. Quality features of the PCV cell measurement tube: PCV tube with calibrated capillary, partly with volume grade fits in microcentrifug The determination of the cell number or cell density is one of the routine tasks in any cell culture laboratory. The established procedure of manual cell number determination using a hämacytometer (Neubauer counting chamber) is very time-consuming and the result is affected with an error of around 15 %. The volume measurement with the PCV cell measuring tube is a quick, simple, reproducible and much more precise alternative to manual cell count. It enables the "Packed Cell Volume" (PCV) in a cell suspension; You get an absolute value that correlates with other parameters (e.g. protein content, cell number, metabolic activity ...). The PCV cell measurement tubes are easy to use and - in contrast to automated methods - do not require any special instruction or complex device. TPP is the Swiss manufacturer for cell culture.
